Art Himsl

Art began his career pin striping cars while in high school in 1956.

He attended the California College of Arts and Crafts for two years and then operated his renowned custom car painting business from 1963 to 1986 when he semi-retired. During this time, he painted well over 100 cars per year. Art was the originator of the Custom Van painting that is still popular today.
His creative painting schemes can be found not only on custom cars but motorcycles as well. Art provides his creative painting on an appointment only basis in his specially designed paint booth at his home in the hills of Concord, CA.

Art is a member of the Hall of Fame at the Oakland National Roadster show and was honored as builder of the year in 1995. He also won the 1969 World's Most Beautiful Roadster Award. Art was honored by the San Francisco Art Institute when they produced a show of his unique automobile painting and the New York Museum of Modern Art has a permanent display of his custom motorcycle painting on exhibit.

Art is a creative partner of MAG-nificent Impressions.
